Mosquito Lagoon

The world famous Mosquito Lagoon is known for its pristine and clear shallow water grass flats and shoals.  As a year long fishery, the lagoon provides anglers with an opportunity to sight cast to tailing Red Fish, Black Drum and Sea Trout throughout the seasons.  Red Fish, found in both large schools and singles, frequently inhabit waters so shallow that their backs are out of the water and exposed.

As part of the Merrit Island Wildlife Refuge, Mosquito Lagoon provides you with a unique opportunity to experience Florida's indigenous birds such as Ospreys, Bald Eagles, Roseate Spoon Bills, and many other species.  In addition, Mosquito lagoon boasts a large variety of wildlife including alligators, manatees, and dolphins, in their natural habitat.  When with a Mosquito Lagoon Fly Fishing Guide it is the perfect setting for being one with nature which will make your fly fishing experience even that more memorable.  Mosquito Lagoon is bordered to the North by New Smyrna Beach, to the South by Titusville, and within an hour's drive of Orlando, Cocoa, Daytona Beach, and minutes from area beaches.
